Chelsea bit-part player Kevin de Bruyne is set to complete a long awaited £16m move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg according to the BBC.
The 22 year old has struggled to retain a place in Jose Mourinho’s first team set-up this term, making just two Premier League starts, and is set to move to the German top tier where he previously proved a big success during a season long loan switch to Werder Bremen.
The Belgian international will sign a five year deal with Wolfsburg and the price could rise to £20m and will see the West London club secure a sizable profit from a player who has barely featured.
De Bruyne cost Chelsea £6.7m when he arrived at Stamford Bridge in January 2012 and is no doubt keen to secure regular first team football ahead of he 2014 World Cup finals.
