EDU MOVE TO UNION COMPLETE
According to multiple Goal USA sources, Maurice Edu is headed back
to MLS with the Philadelphia Union . The league balked at the Stoke
City and USA midfielder's initial salary demands, but Ives Galarcep says
the two sides have reached an agreement and Edu will return to the
league he left in 2008.

MANCHESTER UNITED AGREES TO MATA TRANSFER FEE
Manchester United has agreed to a club-record 37 million pound fee
with Chelsea for Juan Mata. The Premier League champions
confirmed Friday that the deal is now subject to the midfielder
completing a medical and agreeing to personal terms.

TRAORE MOVING TO EVERTON ON LOAN
Monaco striker Lacina Traore will move to Goodison Park on a six-
month loan, Everton confirmed Friday. The forward, only acquired by
the Ligue 1 side 20 days ago, was set for a move to West Ham
before Roberto Martinez came in with a bid. There was some
speculation Monaco would hang on to the player after Falcao 's injury
but the club still views the "Gentle Giant" as surplus.

AC MILAN CONFIRMS ESSIEN DEAL IS CLOSE
Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien is to arrive in Italy on Friday as he
closes in on a move to AC Milan , the Serie A club confirmed. The
midfielder is expected to be released on a free transfer and will join
the Rossoneri on an 18-month deal.

BLANC: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN TARGETING CABAYE, PJANIC
Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc says Yohan Cabaye and
Miralem Pjanic are being pursued by the Ligue 1 leaders. "They are
both targets for PSG," Blanc said. "They are very technical players who
have the same profile. If a midfielder comes this winter, I’ll be very
